"&lt;a href="http://www.amazon.com/Bringing-Out-Dead-Joe-Connelly/dp/0375700293/ref=pd_bbs_sr_2/105-2166910-6404447?ie=UTF8&amp;amp;s=books&amp;amp;qid=1189675689&amp;amp;sr=1-2" rel="nofollow"&gt;Bringing out the Dead&lt;/a&gt;" (of course) and "&lt;a href="http://www.amazon.com/o/ASIN/1400048699/105-2166910-6404447?SubscriptionId=0RAFPGWETQZXMXGFNN02" rel="nofollow"&gt;Ambulance Girl&lt;/a&gt;" which is about a gourmet cook/critic that became a volunteer EMT in her hometown. I read "Bringing Out the Dead" if I ever start to get a little burned, it reminds me that it can never get that bad.
